We have already started new molds for 2023... they are inspired by the abundant sea life in the Salish Seas of our west coast home. The first two have been carved and are drying - stay tuned for their 1700 degree firing in January 2023. Over the holiday season additional molds will be carved and posted for firing in late January - just in time for Valentines Day and Mothers Day later on in the year!
The sketches for these pieces take several days to finalize and the carving time for these pieces is approximately 3 days. Once the carving process starts - the piece has to be finished before the clay becomes too hard to carve so the pressure is on! But it is so much fun to see them come alive over the hours and days it takes to design and carve them.
